About us

The participation of handicapped people in social environments is very important to us.
The Hotel im Kornspeicher decided to work with people having different disabilities. We are an integrative hotel. For that reason, people with disabilities should not only feel welcome as our guest, but also feel like they are part of our community.
We create tasks for our staff, without limiting the quality of the hotel. We connect humanity with professional service.
Our team is pleased to spoil our guests. We are happy to help each guest with planning and organizing their trip to Marburg in any possible way.

The hotel is operated by the Kornspeicher charitable GmbH based in 35039 Marburg, Molkereistraße 6. The sole shareholder is the non-profit Soziale Hilfe Marburg. e.V., also based in 35039 Marburg, Molkereistraße 6. The association "Soziale Hilfe Marburg e.V." supports mentally ill people in a wide variety of areas such as living, employment, leisure and communication.

history

In the summer of 2007, the first preliminary talks took place between those responsible for Social Aid Marburg and the investors about the conversion of the former granary built between 1936 and 1939. In addition to a 3-star hotel, the building was to house the center for work and communication as well as the offices of the Soziale Hilfe Marburg and the sponsoring company of the HOTEL IM KORNSPEICHER non-profit GmbH.

In autumn 2016 the hotel was classified as a 3 * superior.
